Happy 4th o' July. Here is a little Independance Day trivia for ya. Only two people who signed the Decleration of Independence subsequently became president. They were John Adams and Thomas Jefferson. Amazingly, both Adams and Jefferson died on the same same exact day. That day was July 4th, 1826. In one of the most incredible occurances in US history they both died on the 50th anniversary of the original Independence Day. John Adams last words were "Thomas Jefferson still survives." Ironically, he was incorrect, as Jefferson had passed away several hours earlier. If you wanna learn more about this, and other facts of the era, I strongly recomend reading either 1776 or John Adams both by David McCullough.

That's a great idea for an Oliver Stone movie. Died on the 4th of July. It would be a prequel to his movie Born on the 4th of July.

So I was talking to this teacher babe out this past weekend. She said she was a history teacher. I asked her if she had heard of David McCullough. Nope. I forgot what school she taught at.
